Cycle repair shop shares space

Getting bikers back on the road, quickly and at a reasonable cost, is the goal at Desert Cycles.

The motorcycle repair shop is owned and operated by father and son Luther and Adam Pedigo. It shares space with their existing business, Industrial Hose Repair, at 1784 N. Pinal Ave. in Casa Grande. They have a grand opening open house planned from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday with food, a DJ, a bikini bike wash in front and special pricing.

They decided to add Desert Cycle after Casa Grande’s other motorcycle repair shop closed recently. They have been running Industrial Hose Repair at the location for two years since moving here from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Geauga County Sheriff’s Lt. John Hiscox reads some of the names on the County Veterans Memorial during Friday’s news conference announcing this year’s 60-mile, two-hour escorted motorcycle ride through Geauga County.

Riders gearing up for a 60-mile motorcycle run though Geauga County are hoping their efforts raise enough funds to complete the Geauga County Veterans Memorial in Claridon Township.

Burton-Middlefield Rotarians are sponsoring the event and have pledged to pay off $ 7,000 needed for the $ 500,000 project.

“Our club doesn’t think it is appropriate for veterans who we are trying to honor to have to foot that bill,” said Geauga County Commissioner Tracy Jemison, who also is treasurer of the Burton-Middlefield Rotary.
