It’s Deer Season! State Farm Says Collisions Up

A recent report by State Farm Insurance states that deer-related collisions are up 7.7% from last year. The study also said West Virginia is the state where a collision is most likely to occur.

Listen up people, it’s deer season! For hunters, this is great news. For motorcyclists, not so good.

State Farm Insurance just published an interesting report on deer-vehicle confrontations that states “the number of deer-related collisions in the U.S. has increased by 7.7% over the last year.”

They didn’t have to tell us that as the topic has come up frequently in the context of conversations. On a visit last week to one of our local dealerships, Hansen’s BMW/Triumph/Ducati, Mason Hansen said that four out of the five motorcycles waiting for repair were damaged by collisions with deer.
