Motorcycle ride for Bob Lindsey
News from Wicked Local:

Motorcycle riders are invited to help raise money for a past commander of the Holliston VFW and Ashland American Legion by participating in the Bob Lindsey Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, Sept. 29.

Motorcycle staging will start at 9 a.m. in the Sears Hardware parking lot, at the corner of Eliot and Pond streets. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m., and riders will travel about 60 miles before ending at the Holliston VFW, 310 Woodland St.

Lindsey is a decorated Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He was the commander of the Ashland American Legion and Holliston VFW. In 2011, Lindsey was in a car accident and suffered serious injuries, which have left him wheelchair bound for the rest of his life.

Money raised during the event will help his family retrofit their house for wheelchair access and whatever other assistance they need.

After the ride, there will be a motorcycle stunt show, a kids I.D. booth manned by the Ashland and Holliston Police Departments, face painting, ice cream and a barbecue.

The cost for motorcycle drivers is $ 20. For passengers, and those who only want to enjoy the entertainment, the cost is $ 10.
