DAYTONA BEACH — Two separate motorcycle runs are planned to help organizations that serve abused and neglected children.

Hundreds of motorcyclists are expected to converge on Volusia County this coming Saturday for the fifth annual Hope Bike Run. Cost is $ 20 per rider and $ 10 per passenger. Proceeds will go to children from across the state who reside at the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home in Enterprise.

Bikers will begin the 100-mile route Saturday morning starting at four different locations: DeLeon Springs, Leesburg, Melbourne and Ocala. They are all scheduled to arrive at the Children’s Home about noon. Following a brief program in Enterprise, bikers will then travel to the Fox Head Lounge in Osteen for a silent auction and other activities. In an unrelated event, the Daytona 200 Motorcycle Club will have its 35th Annual Toys for “Our Kids” Charity Bike Run to help abused or neglected children for the holidays.
