Newcastle teen Dale Fowler led police on wild motorbike chase

A BRAZEN teenager weaved on and off pavements, drove the wrong way down roads and made gestures at a police helicopter as he took cops on a 15-minutes-of-madness chase through parts of Newcastle.

Captured on camera from a police chopper, Dale Fowler sped along roads, pavements, fields and parks in the Cowgate and Kenton areas with a pal riding pillion on the back of his motorcycle.

At one point, pedestrians jumped out of the way as the 18-year-old, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, failed to give way at junctions on his yellow motorcross bike, a court was told.

He was finally caught when the bike cut out, forcing him to abandon it and try to flee into a house on Stodden Walk, Kenton, Newcastle.
